Welcome Back to Instant Tech Guide! Today, I'm going to let you know about the Blogger Dashboard. Hopefully, you'll be able expert in using Blogger platform after reading this article. There will be everything in this single article. I'll teach you the complete usage of this Dashboard.

 COMPLETE GUIDE TO BLOGGER DASHBOARD 

  1) Posts:  

Post is the first tab of this Dashboard. You will manage your posts in this tab. The articles that you write will be shown under this tab. If you leave your article while writing it will be counted as drafted. The post will not be published until you publish your article yourself. I'll also write an article on how to write best post in this Dashboard. In the same tab, you can check the number of views that post has received. At the same time, you can count your comments on a single post as well. Follow the below screenshot to understand it in a best manner.


  • The number 1 represents posts section of your Dashboard.
  • The number 2 symbolizes the number of published posts on your website
  • The number 3 gives the titles of your posts that you have published on your website.
  • The number 4 describes the author who has written the posts.
  • The number 5 represents number of comments on your post.
  • The number 6 describes the views that the posts have received.
  • The number 7 shows that when was the article written.
  • The number 8 allows you to write a new post for your blog.

The default value for number of posts on a single page is 25 as shown in the above screenshot. You can set it to 100 as well if you want. The name of the write is also available before that post. 

  2) Stats:  

After the post section, you will see stats section. Stats section gives you the complete analysis of website. It gives you details about the traffic that from where it is coming. It gives the complete analysis of your blog.

  • The indicator 1 gives the complete stats of your blog.
  • The indicator 2  represents Overview section of your visitors.
  • The indicator 3 symbolizes Page views that your blog received today.
  • The indicator 4 indicates Page views that your website received yesterday.
  • The indicator 5 provides Page views of your website last month.
  • The indicator 6 shows Page Views for your blog all time.
  • The indicator 7 gives Number of Followers on your website.
  • The indicator 8,  you can select any of the above section to get stats of your website.
Under the Overview tab, you will see a new tab named as Posts. In this tab, you can check out which posts has received more views. In traffic source, you will be able to know from where the traffic is coming. While in audience, you will be able to understand from which countries people are visiting your website or blog.

  3: Comments: 

Here, you will give replies to the people who have commented on your posts. You can checkout who has commented on your posts. Who is asking for help from you? This is all about the comment section.

  4: Earning:

In the earning section, you will be able to control your Adsense account. If your blog has qualified for Adsense, you can directly apply through this portion. You can switch account of Adsense to get details about your Earnings. If you are having blogspot domain, you can only apply from this tab. But if you are having custom domain, you can directly apply from their official website.

  5: Pages:  

You will create static pages for your websites here. You should create pages like Contact us, About us, Disclaimer Policy, and Privacy Policy in order to get Google Adsense Approval. It is up to you whether your make these pages visible or not. You can posts in these pages as well by creating labels in your post section. 

  6: Layout:  

You can add widgets to your blog through this portion. You can drag and drop these widgets as well. In order to earn money, you will add Adsense widgets through layout. You can edit posts preview as well by visiting posts body in layout. You can design your own layout for your website. You will add your logo through the layout section. You can also add your Favicon to your website. 

  7: Theme:  

In the theme portion, you can save your template for your further use in future. You can backup your whole website in a second. If you are having any problem with your blog, you can use that backup to restore your blog. You can edit html of your site here. You can change template of your site. You must add responsive template to your site here. You can design your site through html section.


  8: Setting:  



  •   Basic:  You can add title and description to your blog here. You can add custom domain to your site here. In the basic tab, you can also add authors who will have only access to your post sections and will write articles for you. You can hide your site from Search Engines as well in this tab.
  •   Posts, Comments & Sharing:   You will be able to handle your posts, comments and sharing here. If you don't want to have spam comments on your posts, you can allow the people to comment on your posts who are having Google Accounts. In order to remove spam comments, set Comments Moderation to always. You can save a comment message for the people as well here.
  •   Search Preferences:   Be careful in this portion of setting. You must add meta description to your site here. Add your site to Google Search Console in order to rank your site in Search Engines. Create your custom Robots.txt file as given in the below quote and paste it here.

  1.  Enable custom header tags and add settings by searching proper settings on web. In monetisation, add your Adsense Publisher id here.

  •   Others:  You can backup your whole site if you are going to shift from Blogger to Wordpress. You must add your site to Google Analytics in order to track the performance of your site.
